New series for Shore Variety.com: NBC cops 'House' mates
Scribe David Shore is developing a project at NBC -- his first since his "House" turned into an Emmy-nominated hit. Shore is partnering with "House" writer Peter Blake to pen an untitled drama for the Peacock, through its sibling NBC Universal TV Studio.
Script revolves around a female cop, surrounded by an ensemble cast. Light drama will contain procedural elements but also a healthy dose of humor.
Shore and Blake are set to exec produce the project.
Shore created "House," the Hugh Laurie starrer that started slow but has turned into a monster hit for Fox and producer NBC U TV.
Prior to "House," Shore's credits included exec producing the CBS skeins "Hack" and "Family Law," and working on "Law & Order," "The Practice," "NYPD Blue" and "Due South."
Blake's credits also include "The Practice" and "Ally McBeal."
